WHAT YOU MISSED
  • Softball split three separate series last week, first against Saginaw Valley State, then Ashland, and finally Wayne State. That now extends their series splits to five in a row.
  • Men's soccer won two overtime games in Michigan over the weekend. First with a 1-0 win at Northwood on Thursday, then a 2-1 win over Northern Michigan on Saturday.
  • The Parkside track and field teams were in action at the GVSU Al Owens Classic, registering 16 personal bests across the team.
  • Baseball traveled to Wayne State, and dropped four games to the Warriors.
  • Golf finished out their season, placing seventh at the GLIAC Tournament played at Stoatin Brae Golf Course.
  • Women's soccer traveled to Michigan for a set of road games. Their first, at Michigan Tech was postponed, and they dropped their second at Northern Michigan, 3-2.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR
  • Baseball will come back to Kenosha to host Grand Valley State for a four-game series. Game one starts on Friday, April 23 at 3 p.m.
  • Men's soccer will move to postseason play as they host No. 7 Northwood in the GLIAC Quarterfinals at Wood Road Field on Sunday, April 25 at noon.
  • Softball will split their weekend with an away and home series. On Saturday, they'll travel to Davenport for two games, and return home Sunday for two and a half games against Purdue Northwest. The Pride and Rangers were postponed in the eighth inning of a game earlier this year, and will finish the contest at 11:30 a.m. The score is currently 4-4 in the top of the eighth inning.
  • Women's soccer will travel to Michigan Tech for their final regular season game. They'll square off on Friday, April 23 at noon.
  • The men's and women's track and field teams will be splitting up between the Drake Relays and Marquette Open. The Drake Relays will take place Friday & Saturday, and Marquette Open is just on Saturday.
NOTEWORTHY
  • In softball's last six games, redshirt-senior Megan Aliverti is batting 9-for-15 (.600), has two home runs, and 5 RBI.
  • Men's soccer goalkeeper Alexandre Durand was named GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week after allowing only one goal between the Rangers two wins. Bryan Torres and Osvaldo Sanchez Arellano scored game-winning goals against Northwood and Northern Michigan respectively.
  • Track and field's Brock Eves broke a 44-year-old Parkside school record in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:49.62, which is also a provincial qualifying mark for NCAA Division II National Championships.
  • Baseball's Austin Emanuel currently has the fifth highest batting average in the GLIAC at .404.
  • In day two of the GLIAC Tournament, freshman Garrett Olson led the team, shooting a 68 (-3).
  • Women's soccer's Suly Perez scored her first career goal against Northern Michigan, while Myah Strokosch recorded her first goal of the season.
