The Parkside volleyball team couldn't finish off the sweep of Wayne State on Saturday afternoon on the road, as the Warriors cruised to the 3-0 win over the Rangers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Wayne State never trailed in the opening set, jumping out to a 21-12 lead and never letting the Rangers close in the end. The second set came right down to the end, with the Rangers and Warriors trading the lead back-and-forth throughout. It was tied at 23-23, but the Warriors were able to use back-to-back kills to end the set and take a 2-0 lead. The third set saw the Rangers take the first point, but Wayne State scored two straight and didn't trail again. They jumped out to a 9-3 lead, then 18-8 and finished the match off with a 25-16 match-clinching win.

As a team, the Warriors hit .272 with 41 kills and 16 errors while Parkside finished with a .082 hitting percentage, going for 28 kills and 20 errors. Junior

Kaylee Kuecker had a team-high nine digs.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers welcome in Purdue Northwest next weekend on Friday night at 7 p.m. inside De Simone Gymnasium. They'll head to PNW on Saturday for a 2 p.m. matchup.
