Game Recap: Volleyball |

Volleyball Comes Back Against Purdue Northwest, 3-1

Parkside 3, Purdue Northwest 1 | 21-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-15
After never leading in the first set, the Parkside volleyball team responded by leading the entire way through sets two, three, and four. The Rangers finished with a season-high .265 hitting percentage, and were led by sophomore Hallie McGuire who finished with15 kills, and only one attack error on the night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pride were able to grab the first set thanks in large part to a 12-6 run in the middle of the set. The Rangers looked like they might threat late after scoring two straight to bring the score to 21-24, but an attack error from the Rangers ended that threat.

Parkside was able to respond instantly in the second, as they started the set 8-1. They never looked back and finished the set early, 25-14. The third set was a back-and-forth battle when the Green & White found themselves up 21-20. They finished the set on a 4-0 run that included kills from freshman Jessica Pappas, junior Jazmine Neal, and McGuire.

The fourth set played out very similarly to the second, with the Rangers grabbing a 6-1 lead to start, and never relinquishing the lead. McGuire had five of her 15 kills in the fourth.
