KENOSHA, Wis. – Redshirt-junior Shane Gantz of the Parkside Wrestling team has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Wrestler of the Week after his stellar performance last week.

Gantz, the Waukesha, Wis., native, beat No. 1 ranked Devin Fitzpatrick of St. Cloud State 3-1 in Thursday night's dual in De Simone Gymnasium. He improved to 5-0 and avenged a 10-4 defeat to Fitzpatrick in last season's NCAA Super Region V Championship match. This is Parkside's second straight NSIC Wrestler of the Week award, as freshman Reece Worachek won the award last week.
 
With the Rangers' final home dual of the season behind them, they'll head to Minnesota State next Thursday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. to close out the regular season. The NCAA II Super Region V Championships is set for Feb. 27 in Aberdeen, S.D.
