Ashland University took all three sets from Parkside volleyball Saturday night at De Simone Gymnasium. Sophomore
Reese Rossnagel had a career-high 15 kills for the Rangers, who fell to 0-4 on the season while the Eagles moved to 4-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first set, Ashland broke away early and kept a steady lead on the Rangers. In the second set, the game was neck and neck with highest lead being just three points. Parkside trailed 22-21, but Ashland scored the final three points of the set to take a 2-0 lead. In a similar fashion, the third set was a close game with the Eagles breaking away in the end. For the second straight set, Parkside trailed 22-21 and Ashland finished the match winning the final three points.

Reese Rossnagel had a career high 15 kills on 25 attacks with a hitting percentage of .560. Sophomore
Lexi Packard finished with eight kills and two blocks while sophomore
Jazmine Neal had seven kills.
Alysha Brickl had a season-high of 37 assists, and senior
Rachel Hedman lead the team in digs (18).

As a team, Parkside hit .159 with 42 kills and 22 errors while Ashland hit .236 with 41 kills and 15 errors. Ashland and Parkside each finished with three aces and four blocks.Â

WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers will start a 4-match stretch on the road next weekend against Northern Michigan in Marquette, Mich. The following week Parkside will travel to Detroit for a set of games against Wayne State.
