Lake Superior State 72, Parkside 68
Parkside men's basketball's late comeback fell short on the road at Lake Superior State Saturday afternoon. The Rangers trailed by 13 points with 7:00-minutes to go and got within two, but couldn't finish it out. The Rangers dropped to 9-7 overall while LSSU moved to 8-8 with one final weekend of basketball to play before the GLIAC Tournament.Â

DOWN THE STRETCH
It looked like the game was over for the Rangers, as they trailed 61-48 with 7:18 to play. Parkside followed that with an 11-4 run to bring it within six at 65-59 with 4:21 to play. Sophomore
Solomon Oraegbu hit a runner in the lane with :36-seconds to play to make it a 70-68 ball game, and the Rangers got a big defensive stop after that. Unfortunately, a late turnover with :07-seconds left helped the Lakers seal the game. LSSU's Malek Adams went 2-for-2 at the free-throw line to put the game out of reach with :02-seconds to play.

Sophomore
Vinson Sigmon Jr. had another good game, going for a career-high 22 points and went 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Oraegbu finished with 12 points while redshirt-junior
Brandon Hau had 12 points and five rebounds.

Both squads went about even across the board on statistics. As a team, Parkside shot 49.1% (26-of-53) from the floor while LSSU finished at 52.7% (29-of-55). The Rangers went +4 in rebounding and -2 in turnovers.
