For the second straight day, the Parkside volleyball team earned a 3-1 road win, this one coming against a tough Northwood squad that now sits at 10-4 overall this season. The Rangers beat Lake Superior State on Friday night, making this the first weekend sweep for the team this season.

SET 1: Northwood was able to take the first set of the match, but this was the only set they'd win. The Timberwolves pulled away using an 8-2 run in the middle of the set.

SET 2: The Rangers trailed early on, but a 7-0 run that included four kills by
Lindsay Krznarich made it 14-9 Parkside. Krznarich stayed hot in the set, using back-to-back kills to finish out the set 25-17 Parkside.

SET 3: Jessica Pappas made some big serves in the third set, using back-to-back aces to put the Rangers up 22-17 late in the set and the team was able to hang on to the win.

SET 4: A 5-0 run by Northwood late in the set made it 21-20 Parkside, but the Rangers came in clutch, scoring four of the final five points that included kills by Krznarich and junior
Lexi Packard to secure the nice road win.

STATWORTHY
Krznarich finished with a team-high 11 kills on 20 attacks, hitting .400 on the night. Pappas finished with nine kills and two aces while Packard had seven kills. Junior
Alysha Brickl led the team with 33 assists and sophomore
Maddy Dokken had a team-high 10 digs.

WHAT'S NEXT
With the schedule yet to be released, Parkside will head to the conference crossover tournament in Hammond, Ind., next weekend to battle foes from the GLVC and GMAC.
