Parkside men's basketball earned it's first sweep of the season, as redshirt-senior
Tray Croft powered the Rangers past SVSU with 28 points. The Green & White outscored the Cardinals 43-24 in the second half where Croft scored 18 points.

Parkside improved to 6-3 this season and has now won four straight games while SVSU fell to 2-7. The Rangers are now tied for first place in the GLIAC with Michigan Tech.

WHAT HAPPENED
Parkside opened the game on a 9-0 run, but SVSU clawed back in and tied it up for the first time in the final 2-minutes of the half. The Cardinals went into the locker room with a 35-30 lead after outscoring Parkside 21-9 in the final 10-minutes of the first half.

In the second half, the teams traded the lead throughout the first 10-minutes. With 10:01 to play and SVSU leading 48-46, Parkside ripped off a 10-0 run to take a 56-48 lead. After the Rangers pushed it to double-digits, they stayed on top and never let SVSU back into the game.

Croft led all scorers with 28 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor and went 4-for-7 from beyond the arc. It's his second 25+ scoring output this season. Redshirt-junior
Brandon Hau finished with 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting while sophomore
Solomon Oraegbu had 12 points. Senior
Ramar Evans finished with seven points and nine rebounds.

Parkside shot 49-percent from the floor while holding SVSU to 39.6-percent and 0-of-15 from beyond the arc in the second half. The Rangers went +10 in rebounding and -3 in the turnover battle.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers will hit the road and battle Ashland next weekend on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 5 and 6 at 3 p.m. both days.
