KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside wrestling team was named to the 2020 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division II Team All-Academic List, while three individuals were named NWCA Division II Scholar All-Americans.

As a team, Parkside was recognized for its 3.111 GPA good for 19th in the country; they were one of just 20 teams in the nation that had over a 3.0 team GPA. Maryville had the highest at 3.695.
The three Rangers recognized were
Subhan Umar,
Rodsean Graham and
Shane Gantz. Umar, a redshirt-sophomore majoring in business, finished the season 12-10 overall and earned four wins by fall. Graham, a redshirt-junior majoring in criminal justice, went 16-16 this season. Gantz, a redshirt-sophomore majoring in marketing, was set to compete at the NCAA II Championships after going 18-9 overall and taking second at the NCAA II Super Regionals. He was ranked No. 12 in the final rankings of the season.
Along with Gantz, Joe Arroyo and
Airk Furseth were set to compete at the NCAA II Championships before the seasons were cut short.
