Parkside Wrestling Heads North for NSIC Weekend vs. Northern State and Jamestown

KENOSHA, Wis. – Parkside Wrestling heads north for a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) weekend, facing Northern State on Saturday, January 24 at 5 p.m. before taking on the University of Jamestown on Sunday, January 25 at 2 p.m.
 
The Rangers
The third-ranked Parkside Rangers enter the weekend with an 8–2 overall dual record and a 3–1 mark in NSIC competition. Parkside holds a 4–1 all-time record against Northern State, including a 21–16 win in the most recent meeting. The matchup with Jamestown will mark the first meeting between the two programs since the Jimmies joined the NSIC. Parkside is coming off a dominant 56–0 dual victory over Minot State, with seven of the ten bouts ending in a fall.
 
Seven Rangers appeared in the latest NWCA individual ranking. At 125 pounds, Shane Corrigan holds the No. 5 spot, while Jalen Spuhler ranks No.12overall at 149. Easton Worachek checks in at No.4 and Brody Hemauer stands at No. 7 at 165 pounds. The rankings continue with Dajun Johnson at No.3 at 174, while Brady Schuh is slated at No. 13 in the 184-pound class. Jordan Blanchard rounds out the ranked Rangers ranking No.13 at 197 pounds.

The Wolves
 
The RV Northern State Wolves head into the weekend with a 5–2 overall record and a 2–2 mark in NSIC competition. Northern State is coming off its most recent dual win, a 35–12 victory over the University of Minnesota Moorhead. The Wolves feature two ranked wrestlers, No. 14 Rudy Lopez at 149 pounds, and No. 11 Brady Westall at 184 pounds.

The Jimmies
