#13 FERRIS STATE 93, PARKSIDE 78
A slow start doomed the Parkside men's basketball team Thursday night, as the No. 13 ranked Bulldogs snapped the Rangers' 4-game winning streak at Wink Arena in Big Rapids, Mich. The Rangers fall to 10-8 overall and 6-4 in the GLIAC while the Bulldogs move to 19-3 overall and 8-2 in the GLIAC.

HEAR FROM COACH REIGEL
"Ferris State is an outstanding team and they got after us early," head coach
Luke Reigel said. "It's very hard for us to simulate their style of play in practice and clearly it caused us problems right from the start. I thought we settled down and played good basketball the last 25 minutes or so but we had dug too big of a hole to get out of."
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
Parkside fell behind early, as a
Brandon Hau triple was the Rangers lone field goal over 5:00-minutes into the game, helping the Bulldogs to a 14-point lead early-on. FSU kept the Rangers from striking distance the rest of the first half, pushing their lead to 20+ points for much of the way, and also led by 30 with 1:00 to play in the half. Ferris State took a 54-27 lead into the break. In the second half, the Rangers couldn't muster up a big run to get back into the ball game. They cut the deficit to under 20 points, but it was too little too late. Parkside outscored the Bulldogs 51-39 in the second half.

Joey St. Pierre had 11 and seven rebounds.
