HEAR FROM COACH REIGEL

HOW IT HAPPENED
Parkside led by as many as nine points in the first half, but the teams went back-and-forth for much of the way. Brandon Trimble drilled a corner 3-pointer on the Rangers last possession of the half, trimming the Eagles' lead to 24-23 as both teams looked for scoring early.

After the Rangers took a 30-29 lead at the 16:44 mark, they never trailed again the rest of the way. Parkside held the Eagles to just eight points in the final 10:00 of the game, while holding on to their comfortable lead for the rest of the way.

A LOOK AT THE BOX SCORE
Freshman Solomon Oraegbu, who was coming off a career-high 15 points in the win over Wayne State, led the team with 14 points and grabbed four rebounds. Trimble scored 12 points off the bench while Brandon Hau had 11 and Vinson Sigmon Jr. finished with nine.

The Rangers shot 45.3-percent while holding the Eagles to 35.4-percent; This is the sixth time this season Parkside has held their opponents under 40-percent shooting. Parkside was +6 in rebounding and +1 in the turnover battle.

WHAT'S NEXT
Parkside will have to hit the road next weekend for the first time since Jan. 2. The Rangers will face No. 8 Ferris State on Thursday night and Lake Superior State on Saturday. They'll return home with a tough home slate of Davenport/GVSU on Jan. 30/Feb. 1.
