HOW IT HAPPENED
Parkside couldn't have asked for a much better start, as four points from redshirt-sophomore
Brandon Trimble helped them jump out to an early 7-0 lead. Following, the two teams traded baskets, with Davenport getting the better of the exchange, eventually taking a 26-22 lead with around 10 minutes left in the half. The game of runs continued as the Rangers responded on back-to-back possessions with threes from redshirt-sophomore
Brandon Hau and freshmen
Vinson Sigmon Jr. Parkside were in a good position to take a significant lead into the half, as they were up 45-37 with 1:37 left. However, an 8-0 Panther run to close the half tied the game up at 45. Trimble led the team with 19 points in the first half.
Â
The Rangers once again grabbed a quick advantage at the start of the half, and led 51-47 with 15:57 left. Davenport responded and grabbed a one-point lead once again, when Parkside unleashed a 13-0 run of their own, that gave them their largest lead of the day at 69-57. Despite trailing big, the Panthers looked like they were poised to make a late run, when Sigmon stepped up and knocked down a big three-pointer to keep the Parkside lead at 10 with 3:46 left in the game. Aside from hitting an essential dagger, Sigmon was key in the big second half for the Rangers, leading the team with 10 points in the second.

HEAR FROM COACH REIGEL
"Very nice bounce back win today," said head coach

Â
"We got some great minutes tonight from our bench," Reigel continued. "They played well on both ends and hit some big shots."
