Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Offense Struggles as Men's Basketball Falls at Findlay

FINDLAY 61, PARKSIDE 32
The Parkside men's basketball team's offense struggled in a nonconference road loss at Findlay Tuesday night, as the team was held to 25-percent shooting and went 0-of-16 from beyond the arc. Parkside's record moves to 5-5 this season while the Oilers, who have had three straight seasons with 25+ wins, also moved to 5-5.

HEAR FROM COACH REIGEL
"Right now we are a group of front runners," said head coach Luke Reigel "When things are going well, we are feeling good and jumping around and we act all giddy.   But the minute things get a little tough, we fold."

HOW IT HAPPENED
It took nearly 2-minutes for either team to get on the scoreboard, but soon after Findlay did, they found themselves out to a 12-0 lead with 14:35 to play in the first half. Despite the ball not falling for the Rangers, the team battled in the first half and cut the lead to single digits at the half, trailing 28-19.

In the second half, again it took both squads awhile to score, this time taking nearly 3-minutes into the second half until the Oilers scored the first basket. In the first 9-minutes of the second half, the Oilers outscored Parkside 17-4 and led by 22 points with 8:56 to play. Findlay pushed their lead to as many as 31, while holding the Rangers to just 13 points in the second half.

BOX SCORE
Parkside failed to have a player score in double figures, as Brandon Trimble led the team with nine points while Ramar Evans had eight points, four rebounds and three steals. Joe Borcia grabbed a team-high six rebounds off the bench while Linwood Lee had six points off the bench.

Parkside welcomes in Purdue Northwest for the Rangers' GLIAC home opener this Saturday, Dec. 21 for a 3 p.m. matchup after the Parkside women play at 1 p.m.
