HEAR FROM COACH BAREA
"It was a crazy even match, just tough when we came out and made errors during crucial times," second year head coach Leigh Barea said.

"Carlee, who had two major injuries in her career, worked so hard, both in the training room and did everything she could to be the best she could. She's having a great year, probably the best volleyball she's ever played. She's one of the best teammates that everyone depends on and turns to."

"Ann is the type of libero that can change matches with her killer mentality and spirit. She's had such an amazing overall impact on the program in her career. She will have some tough shoes to fill and also set a new standard for the type of competitor we are looking for in this program."

MATCH RECAP
In the first set, the Warriors took an early lead and never let Parkside tie or take the lead back. It was a close set throughout, as the Rangers used a quick 3-0 run to come within one point at 24-23, but an Olivia Fike kill ended it. The Rangers stormed back to take the second and third sets, jumping out to the 2-1 advantage. In the second, Parkside led 20-9 and while WSU made a slight comeback, Parkside won 25-22 to tie it up. In the third, Parkside grabbed the early lead, and took it out to 17-10 advantage and coasted to the 25-19 win in the third, taking the 2-1 lead in the match. Wayne State battled back to win the fourth and fifth sets to steal the match from the Rangers.
