HOW IT HAPPENED
Parkside came out hot, taking a quick 5-0 lead in the first set, but the Lakers were able to regain the lead late in the set at 20-19 and were able to pull away with the win. In set two, the teams were even at 8-8 early on, but a GVSU 10-2 run helped the Lakers to a 2-0 lead in the match. The third set was much like the first and second, as the Rangers took an early lead, this time 3-0, but the Lakers used a 6-0 run to take the lead right back. Parkside fought back, regaining the lead at 10-9 but GVSU was able to take control of the set and coast to the set three win.
