Davenport spoiled the opening night of Pink Weekend for the Parkside volleyball team, as the Panthers took down the Rangers in straight sets 25-15, 25-18, 25-13. The Rangers will look to bounce back as the team faces Grand Valley State on Saturday at 2 p.m. Senior

HOW IT HAPPENED
Parkside, who was without junior
Rachel Hedman due to injury, trailed 11-9 early on in the first set, but Davenport went on a 10-1 run to take a commanding lead. In both the second and third sets, the Rangers got behind early on and couldn't recover, leading to the Panther sweep in DeSimone.
