KENOSHA, Wis. -- Heading into 2018-19, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside athletics department is proud to announce the creation of the Parkside Athletics Corporate Partners Program, Director of Athletics
Andrew Gavin announced. The program is designed to foster mutually beneficial partnerships between Parkside Athletics and community businesses.
"As we embrace a new era of Parkside Athletics and embark on the 50 Years celebration on campus, the opportunity to establish relationships with first-class business partners is critical," Gavin said. "We are committed to supporting our community and marketing our partners to a variety of constituents, including students, faculty, staff, fans, and supporters. Meanwhile, the additional resources from our partners will help our student-athletes thrive in and out of competition."
Ten different companies have already joined as members of the Parkside Athletics Corporate Partners Program, providing significant support and resources for Ranger student-athletes. These partners include Aurora Sports Health, Financial Service Group, Farmer's Insurance, Hampton Inn & Suites Kenosha, Kenosha News, Kenosha Country Club, Slip 56, BSN Sports, and Nike.
"The strength of the local, regional, and global companies that have already joined the Parkside Athletics Corporate Partners Program is a strong indication of the support of our community and the value of our partnerships," Gavin said. "We are thrilled to have established relationships that will benefit our partners and our student-athletes."
A significant portion of the operational budget for Parkside Athletics is funded through resources generated by the athletics department. The costs of team travel, recruiting, equipment, academic support, and facilities have increased significantly in recent years.
The support from generous and loyal business partners enables the athletics department to enhance the student-athlete experience for our nearly 300 student-athletes and increase the competitiveness of our 15 intercollegiate sport programs.
The Parkside Athletics Corporate Partners program offers four different levels of sponsorship, each with a variety of marketing and advertising elements. Additionally, any corporate partnership can be adjusted and tailored specifically to meet your company's needs and reach the target audiences critical to your business. Parkside Athletics and our student-athletes can also benefit greatly from in-kind gifts, equipment, and credit.
