KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside softball program and head coach
Kristin Ortman are pleased to announce the hiring of Brooke Gajewski as the team's first ever Graduate Assistant Coach. Gajewski will join the Ranger staff in the Fall of 2018 along with 13 other graduate assistants in various coaching, teaching and staff roles.

"We are excited that Brooke is joining our coaching staff and are looking forward to the knowledge and passion she will bring with her," Ortman said. "Brooke has been a very successful player at the Division II level and will be able to make an immediate impact with moving our program forward."
Gajewski, a native of Kronenwetter, Wis., a town just south of Wausau, finished out her playing career at McKendree this past season. At McKendree, Gajewski shined offensively, where she was named a 2018 NFCA Division II All-American, First Team All-Region and First Team All-GLVC on her way to helping the Bearcats reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. She set a McKendree single-season record with 38 walks and tied the program record with 16 home runs.
She served as the ThunderJaxx 16U Head Coach for a year and has helped out at numerous camps and clinics while also giving lessons. While at McKendree, she was also awarded the Presidential Scholarship, the McKendree Leadership Award and the Vollintine Scholarship.
Gajewski graduated from McKendree in May of 2018 with Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science and sports performance.
