SOMERS, Wis. -- UW-Parkside Director of Athletics Andrew Gavin announced on Friday that Jacob Yorg has resigned from his position as head women's basketball coach. Yorg has spent the past five seasons at the helm of the Rangers program.
 
"After much prayer and reflection, I believe God is leading me to a new opportunity to serve," Yorg said. "I know this program will continue the great success this coming year both on and off the court. I wish them nothing but success and happiness."
 
 "We appreciate all of Jacob's hard work and commitment to UW-Parkside and our student-athletes over the course of the past five years," Gavin said. "We wish him the best of luck in the next chapter of his career."
 
A national search for the next women's basketball head coach will begin immediately.
