SOMERS, Wis. – On a night where the Parkside women's basketball honored lone senior
Hayley Maystead, No. 10 ranked Southern Indiana stole the show with a 75-57 win at DeSimone Gymnasium after a strong first half for the Rangers.

After the team's went neck-and-neck for most of the first quarter, the Rangers used a strong 13-2 run in the final 2:47 to take a 25-19 lead at the end of one.
Ali Bettencourt hit a pair of triples and went 3-for-3 at the line after a foul on a last second shot during the run.
Maystead came out and drilled a 3-pointer to open the second quarter and Parkside held onto the lead throughout the second quarter.
Carolina Rahkonen went 1-for-2 from the line with :15 to play to give the Rangers a 36-31 lead going into the half.
The second half was a different story, as the Screaming Eagles pounded the ball down low and got to the free-throw line to go 16-of-21. USI outscored the Rangers 44-17 and forced 12 turnovers throughout the second half.
Bettencourt led the way for the Rangers going for 20 points and four steals while connecting on four 3-pointers. Rahkonen finished with 11 points while Maystead had eight points and six rebounds.
Thursday's game was the season finale at DeSimone for the Rangers; Parkside will close out the season on Saturday at Indianapolis with gametime scheduled for 1 p.m.
