"This was an outstanding team win and I loved the energy and effort we played with, particularly in the first half," head coach
Luke Reigel said. "We did a great job getting deflections, forcing turnovers and rebounding the basketball. Offensively we did just enough to be efficient, so overall this was just a great team win. I loved how we responded to Michigan Tech's run in the second half."
FIRST HALF
Parkside struggled out of the gates, going down 5-0 until
D'Aaron Owens broke through with a layup with 17:20 to play, which sparked a 10-0 Ranger run for the next 5:00 of play. After the Huskies stopped the first run, Parkside ripped off an 11-0 run and took a 21-9 lead with 6:22 to play in the half. The Rangers stayed hot in the half, taking a 34-16 lead at the end of the first half.

SECOND HALF
 After a
Brandon Hau free throw with 14:57 to play, Parkside led 43-22 before Michigan Tech went on a run to make the game interesting. The Huskies used a 16-6 lead to cut the Ranger lead down to 11 points with 8:38 to play, but Parkside followed that with a 12-3 run to push the lead back to 20 with less than 5:00 to play.

FLANIGAN'S BIG DAY
Senior
Chavares Flanigan led all scorer's with a career-high 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting and a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. He also had a career-high six steals and added four assists, four rebounds and a block.
Brandon Trimble scored 13 off the bench while Hau recorded nine points and
Joey St. Pierre had eight.
