Leigh Barea, who is in her first season with the Rangers, graduated from Lewis in 2015 after a stellar career with the Flyers where she ended her career as the program's all-time leader in career assists with 4,685 and helped the team to three straight conference championships.

Lewis won the match in straight sets 25-12, 25-12, 25-14, keeping the Rangers away from striking distance throughout the match. The Flyers were extremely efficient in the match, hitting .387 throughout while going for .417 in the first and .400 in the third. Parkside was held to a .092 hitting percentage.

Parkside will return home this weekend for a pair of matches, taking on Northern Michigan on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. and Michigan Tech on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m., both matches coming inside DeSimone Gymnasium.
