SOMERS, Wis. – Four players scored in double-figures as the Parkside men's basketball team defeated McKendree 75-65 at DeSimone Gymnasium.

McKendree, who came in with a 10-2 overall record, lead 22-21 with 8:17 to play in the first half, until the Rangers went on a 10-0 run to take a 31-22 advantage and wouldn't surrender the lead the rest of the way.
Ramar Evans hit a pair of free throws to give Parkside a 37-30 lead at the break.
McKendree came out strong in the second half, cutting the Parkside lead down to one with 16:08 to play, but the Rangers answered right back, going on an 18-4 run over the next 8:00 minutes to jump out to a 15-point lead, the largest of the game, with 8:43 to play. The Green & White iced it away from the free-throw line, going 6-for-6 in the final minute.
Parkside got a huge lift off the bench, as
Adam Bonk led the team with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting while
Goran Zagorac finished with 10 points; both players came off the bench. Evans finished with 12 points and
Espen Fjaerestad added 10.
Jameel Moore, who was coming off four-straight double-figure scoring games, finished with eight points, eight assists and four steals.
The Rangers will head to Missouri S&T to face the Miners on Saturday, Jan. 6 at 3 p.m. The Parkside women's basketball team also defeated McKendree, helping the Rangers to a sweep of McKendree.
