SOMERS, Wis. – After trailing for most of the second half, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's basketball squad stormed back to force overtime and won 81-77 against Rockhurst University inside the DeSimone Gymnasium for a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest.

The Rangers (7-11, 5-3 GLVC) took the lead after the opening tip, going up by 6 points early in the first half. The early lead was highlighted by three 3-pointers from
Jameel Moore, and rim shaking dunk from
Goran Zagorac. UW-Parkside gave up the lead midway through the first half, and trailed 28-33 to Rockhurst (9-9, 3-6 GLVC) at halftime.
Jameel Moore led the way in the comeback scoring 16 of his team leading 25 points in the second half and overtime period. The Hawks were in foul trouble early in the second half, which allowed the Rangers to attempt 23 free throws in the second half and overtime periods, connecting on 17 of the shots. Rockhurst scored the first points of the overtime period, but Parkside came back making 4 of 5 shots from the field and winning 81-77.
Goran Zagorac collected another double-double on the season, scoring 12 points and collecting a team high 10 rebounds. Adding to Moore's 25 points and team leading 8 assists,
Ramar Evans scored 20 points.
The Rangers continue their GLVC schedule on the road against Southern Indiana at 7:30pm on Jan. 25.
