Dundee Named First Team All-GLVC

INDIANAPOLIS – Wisconsin-Parkside senior Carly Dundee was named First Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference as selected by the league head coaches and announced by the conference office on Wednesday night.

Dundee was named the first team utility player and became the first Wisconsin-Parkside player to earn first team honors since Krista Kelly was named to the first team in 2010. She also became the first UWP player to be named all-conference since Colleen Cummings was named to the second team in 2014.

Dundee had a brilliant senior season in leading Wisconsin-Parkside to 19 wins, which was the Rangers highest win total in seven years.

The Homer Glen, Ill., native led the Rangers in virtually every offensive and pitching statistic during the 2017 season.

Dundee finished the season with a .370 batting average and hit 11 homers and drove in 39 runs on the year. She had a .701 slugging percentage and an on-base percentage of .488, while also hitting nine doubles and scoring 26 runs.

In the circle, Dundee was 13-15 on the season with a 2.80 earned run average and three saves. She struck out 101 batters in 177.1 innings and recorded two shutouts. She pitched the Rangers to wins over nationally-ranked Grand Valley State and Indianapolis during the season.

She ranked among the GLVC leaders in slugging percentage, on-base percentage, home runs, walks, innings pitched, batters struck out and saves.

In conference play Dundee was even better as she batted .431 with seven homers and 24 RBIs while posting a 9-8 record with a 2.84 earned run average.

Additionally, Dundee was named the Wisconsin-Parkside recipient of the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.
