KENOSHA, Wis. – UW-Parkside volleyball closed out the weekend with McKendree Saturday afternoon at DeSimone Gym, where the Bearcats came away with a 3-1 (32-30, 16-25, 25-19, 25-17) win over the Rangers in a back-and-forth match.

The first took a lot of energy for both teams, as the two battled to a 32-30 set that went to McKendree. The Rangers had the Bearcats on the ropes with a 24-22 lead, but the Bearcats were able to tie it at 25-25 and eventually came away with the win. The Rangers stayed tough, battling to a 25-17 win in the second set to tie it up 1-1, scoring six of the final seven points to end the set. The Bearcats came out and took sets three and four to win the match, despite trailing in both sets early.
Individually, the Rangers were led by junior Lexie Calloway's 14 kills. Freshman Rachel Hedman finished with 13 and Lexi Turek, who is chasing her 1,000 career kill, finished with eight. Katie Adams led with 37 assists and Annie Leo had 23 digs. Turek now needs 14 kills to hit 1,000 and Adams needs 29 assists to hit 1,000 for the season.
Parkside will finish the 2017 season out with two more home games, starting with Bellarmine on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. The Rangers will hold senior night on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. against Southern Indiana.
