KENOSHA, Wis. – The UW-Parkside women's volleyball team held its annual Dig Pink game on Friday night against Illinois-Springfield, but the Prairie Stars spoiled it for the Rangers, winning 3-0 (25-17, 28-26, 25-17) at DeSimone Gym.

Parkside athletics announced its partnership with Ascension Healthcare for the Dig Pink game and donated all proceeds to the All Saints Cancer Center and its patients on Friday.
For the Rangers, Lexie Calloway tied for a game-high 12 kills while Rachel Hedman finished with 11 and Lexi Turek added six. Turek is now 22 kills away from hitting 1,000 for her career. Katie Adams led the way in assists with 27, making her now 66 away from hitting 1,000 for the season. Annie Leo finished with 25 digs to lead all.
In the first set, UIS took control early and never lost the lead on its way to a 25-17 first set win. In the second, Parkside trailed 14-8, but battled back to take a 19-17 lead. The Rangers had game-point at 24-23, but UIS went on a 5-2 run to end the set and go up 2-0. In the third, Parkside saw an early lead, but the Prairie Stars climbed back to snag an 8-7 lead and hold onto the lead for the rest of the way.
The Rangers are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. as McKendree visits DeSimone Gym.
