D2WCA Top 20 PollSomers, Wis. (Feb. 11, 2016)-- In the season's fifth installment of the Division II Wrestling Coaches' Association Poll, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside wrestling team held on to their No. 6 position in the country for the third straight poll, and three individual Ranger wrestlers are currently ranked nationally in the top eight of their respective weight classes.
Nick Becker keeps his lock on the nation's top spot in the 174-pound weight class for the third consecutive ranking. Becker boasts an undefeated record of 33-0 for the season. Since the last poll, Becker won the weight class title at the Pete Wilson Invitational, including three wins by technical fall.

Moving up one spot to No. 3 in the nation,
Nick Fishback (165-pounds) had a stellar two weeks since the previous poll. Fishback earned the honor of Great Lakes Valley Conference Wrestler of the Week after winning his weight class at the Pete Wilson Invitational while pinning two of his five opponents. For the third straight poll,
Montrail Johnson is ranked seventh in the 184-pound weight class. Johnson finished second in his division at the Pete Wilson tournament, going 5-1 in his last six matches.

The Rangers held onto their No. 6 spot in the nation after finishing second overall at the Pete Wilson Invitational, and sweeping the dual against University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (44-0), reclaiming the Sake Cup. The top twelve team spots were static since the last poll, including Notre Dame College holding the top spot while collecting all eight first place votes.
UW-Parkside will return to action on February 26 when they head to Indianapolis, Ind. for the NCAA Division II Super Regional.
