Box ScoreSOMERS, Wis. (Sept. 18, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball team sweep the undefeated Michigan Technological University, 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-17), inside DeSimone Gymnasium in a weeknight non-conference matchup.

Service aces were the highlight of the first set for UW-Parkside (7-4).Â
Jessi Mainczyk had three of the Rangers five aces in the 25-21 first set win.

Michigan Tech (10-1) came back in the second set, keeping the game close by tying up the score 19-19. Parkside then called a timeout and came out motivated. The Rangers pressed on to a 25-21 victory with a kill and service ace from
Rebecca Roembke in the final points of the set.

The third set was all Parkside, during which
Meghan Conley went on a six serve run, the longest of the night. The Green and White won the final set 25-17 for the three set sweep.

Leading the offensive charge for the Rangers were
Rebecca Roembke and
Jackie Langer with 12 and 11 kills respectively.Â
Lauren Hickson set up the offense by leading the team with 29 assists.Â
Meghan Conley had 15 digs and
Jessi Mainczyk had 12 digs in the contest.

The Rangers hit the road for a weekend of Great Lakes Valley Conference action starting this Friday against Missouri-Saint Louis.
