Box ScoreSOMERS, Wis. (Sept. 19, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball team fell 3-2 (24-26, 16-25, 25-13, 25-23, 15-12) to Drury University after dropping the final three sets of the Great Lakes Valley Conference match at the DeSimone Gymnasium.

UW-Parkside (6-4, 1-1 GLVC) stole the opening set after trailing 18-22. The Rangers went on a five point run served by
Rebecca Roembke, which include one service ace, and won the match 26-24. Parkside rode the momentum of their first set comeback, and controlled the second set, winning 25-16.

After the intermission, Drury (8-2, 1-1 GLVC) returned to the court winning the third set with a wire-to-wire 25-13 victory. In the fourth set, the Rangers led for most of the match, only to see the Panthers score the final six points of the set. The Rangers dropped the fourth set 25-23. The deciding fifth set was controlled early by Drury, but Parkside came back tying the set at 12-12. Panther senior, BJ Specht, served out the final points of the match finishing the match with a service ace.

The Rangers were led by
Jackie Langer and
Rebecca Roembke who both finished with double-doubles in kills and digs.Â
Lauren Hickson led the Green and White with 47 assists, and
Meghan Conley also led the team with 29 digs.Â
Lexi Turek contributed with 11 kills and 5 blocks in the five set match.

The Rangers continue their home stand with a non-conference matchup against Michigan Technological University on Tuesday at 5:30pm.
