(Nov. 7, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball squad earned its second consecutive road victory on Saturday afternoon, sneaking past Quincy University 3-2 (25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 22-25, 15-12) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference clash inside Pepsi Arena.
 
The Rangers (19-8, 10-5 GLVC) claimed the opening two sets of the match but ultimately needed a five-point run in the decisive fifth set to escape with the victory, UW-Parkside's fourth win in its last five contests.
 
The opening set was deadlocked at 19 before the visiting Rangers scored six of the next eight points, including three kills from 
Lexi Turek to secure the 25-21 win. Parkside claimed a 25-22 win in set two before dropping the next two sets, 25-23 and 25-22 to force a decisive fifth set.
 
In the fifth, the host Hawks (12-16, 6-9 GLVC) claimed three of the first four points and owned a 5-2 lead before Parkside struck back, scoring the next five points and led the rest of the way, emerging with the 15-12 win to secure the match.
 
Three Rangers ended the afternoon in double figures, including 
Rebecca Roembke who tallied a match-high 25 kills and 21 digs. 
Jackie Langer added 19 kills and 24 digs while 
Lauren Hickson posted a match-best 67 assists along with 14 digs. Turek chipped in 16 kills while 
Meghan Conley and 
Jessi Mainczyk tallied 34 and 23 digs, respectively.
 
UW-Parkside returns to the court on Tuesday night, resuming GLVC East Division play against Lewis University.
