KIRKSVILLE, Mo. (Nov. 6, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball squad made quick work of host Truman State University on Friday night, sweeping the Great Lakes Valley Conference rivals 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-17) inside Pershing Arena.

The Homestanding Bulldogs (14-12, 7-7 GLVC) opened up a 16-10 lead in the initial set before the Rangers (18-8, 9-5 GLVC) charged back, scoring seven of the next eight points to knot the score at 17-17. The score was tied again at 22 before UW-Parkside received kills from Lauren Hickson and Rebecca Roembke sandwiched around a TSU attack error to earn the 25-23 set win.

Truman owned a 13-12 advantage in the second set before the Rangers ripped off five straight points and never looked back, securing the 25-22 victory. The Bulldogs scored the opening point of set three but it was all Parkside after that, rattling off five straight points midway through the set to take control and cruise to the 25-17 set win to seal the match in three.

Roembke tallied a match-high 14 kills while Hickson and Jackie Langer both finished with a double-double. Hickson posted a match-high 30 assists while adding 10 digs on the defensive end while Langer posted 10 kills and 10 digs. Meghan Conley collected 15 digs to pace the Rangers while Hickson and Lexi Turek each netted five blocks.
