(Nov. 13, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball team was unable to hang with Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division rival Saint Joseph's College on Friday night, suffering a 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-17) setback inside Scharf Fieldhouse.

The homestanding Pumas (8-20, 3-14 GLVC) never trailed in the opening set, scoring the final six points for the 25-17 victory. The Rangers (19-10, 10-7 GLVC) led 12-11 in the second set before Saint Joseph's battled back, utilizing a 10-2 run to establish a 21-14 buffer. UW-Parkside attempted a late charge but a kill and an attack error gave the Pumas the 25-19 decision in the second set.

St. Joe's ripped off five straight points to grab a 6-2 lead and never looked back in set three, securing the 25-17 win to sweep the match.

Lexi Turek posted nine kills along with three blocks with
Lauren Hickson distributing a match-high 25 assists.
Rebecca Roembke set the tone defensively with 13 digs with
Meghan Conley and
Jackie Langer adding 12 and 10, respectively.

Parkside finishes off the regular season tomorrow afternoon, taking on University of Indianapolis at 3 p.m. (Eastern Time) in a match that will have a significant effect on seeding for the 2015 GLVC Championship Tournament.
