AURORA, Ill. (Oct. 16, 2015)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside volleyball team swept both of their matches at the Mizuno Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover, starting with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-22) win against Findlay University, and finishing with a victory over Tiffin University 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-14) inside the Great Lakes Volleyball Center.

The Rangers (14-6) started out strong in the opening set, but Findlay (15-4) kept the game close.  After trading the lead five times, UW-Parkside came out on top, 25-23.  The second set started off close as well, both teams exchanging the lead on the way to an early 5-5 tie.  Jackie Langer broke the tie with a kill, and then went on a five serve run.  Parkside never looked back, taking the second set 25-18.

Not backing down, the Oilers chipped their way to a six point, 18-12, lead in the third set.  The Rangers finished the match with a 13-4 run that clinched the three set sweep with a final 25-22 win.

Meghan Conley led the team with 10 digs for the match.  Offensively, Rebecca Roembke led with 12 kills and Jackie Langer added 10 of her own.  Lauren Hickson finished the match with 32 assists.

In the evening match, Parkside continued to look strong against Tiffin (8-9).  The Green and White opened the first set with a kill from Lexi Turek.  The Rangers led the entire game and finished with the 25-12 rout.  The second was a closer affair, and with the score tied at 18-18, Parkside went on a 7-1 run to close out the set 25-19 over the Dragons.  The final set was again dominated by the Rangers with a wire-to-wire 25-14 win.

Leading the team in kills for the second match was Rebecca Roembke with 18.  Lauren Hickson setup 39 assists for the Rangers offense.  Meghan Conley finished with 24 digs, and Lauren Hickson dug up 12.

The Rangers finish action at the Crossover Tournament on Saturday with a 1pm match against Michigan Tech.
