FAYETTE, Iowa. (Nov. 25, 2014)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's basketball team was held to its lowest offensive output of the season on Tuesday night, stumbling 59-54 to host Upper Iowa University in a back and forth affair inside Dorman Gymnasium featuring 18 lead changes and 11 ties.
 
The visiting Rangers (4-1) owned a 50-48 advantage with 5:18 left in the game off a Stephanie Furr jumper but the host Peacocks (2-2) finished the contest on an 11-4 run to emerge with the win.
 
UW-Parkside looked to seize control of the game with a 7-2 run to secure a five-point advantage at 47-42 off a Kristin Conniff three but Upper Iowa countered with a 12-3 spurt to stake a four-point advantage. The Green and White again battled back before the Peacocks closed the game with the 11-4 run to ice the contest.
 
The two squads entered the halftime break tied 34-34 in a volatile opening stanza that saw 14 lead changes and six ties. The host Peacocks owned the largest lead of the half just under eight minutes into the game, nursing a 14-9 advantage that was eventually nullified with the Rangers tying the game at 19.
 
Gaby Bronson led the Rangers with 18 points and seven rebounds while Conniff chipped in 10 off the bench. Justine Boerger, Brittney Fair and Furr all added six.
 
Lauren Buck had a double-double for the Peacocks with 12 points and 11 boards while Olivia Winkler added 12 points.
 
The Rangers were plagued by turnovers in the opening half, committing 12 in the first 20 minutes of action while shooting ice cold in the second half, hitting just 23.3 percent (seven-for-30) of its shots and ended the game shooting 33.3 percent (20-for-60) overall.
 
The Rangers return to the hardwood on Sunday, taking on Northwood University at 1 p.m. (Eastern Time) in Midland, Michigan.
