INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 23, 2013)-- Jenna Endisch shattered a pair of school records on Saturday afternoon, posting a career-high 31 points and guiding the University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's basketball team to a 71-61 victory over host University of Indianapolis in a Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division game inside Nicoson Hall.

Endisch buried nine three-pointers on the afternoon, smashing UW-Parkside's single-game record while also establishing a new single season record for three-pointers made with 80 on the season. Jamie Nebel previously held the single-game record with eight threes on Feb. 9, 2002 against Northern Kentucky University while Kayla Ming previously claimed the single season mark with 77 three-pointers in 2007-08.

The two squads battled back and forth in the opening half with the lead changing hands on five occasions as the visiting Rangers (18-7, 12-5 GLVC) enjoyed a 31-29 edge at the halftime intermission.

UIndy (17-8, 10-7 GLVC) staked an early 7-4 lead just over three minutes into the game before the Rangers rattled off six of the next eight to grab a four-point edge with Endisch burying a three to cap off the spurt, giving UWP the 13-9 edge with 10:58 left in the opening half. The Greyhounds tied the contest at 15 and secured its largest lead of the afternoon at 20-16 with 6:08 left courtesy of a Katy McIntosh three the old fashioned way.

UW-Parkside pulled back in front with 3:31 left in the half off a Sierra West three before extending the advantage to six points with 66 seconds left off an Endisch jumper. UIndy tallied six straight points, a run spanning across both halves to tie the game at 31 with 19:47 remaining.

Endisch responded the ensuing possession with a three and the Rangers maintained a lead the rest of the way en route to the 10-point victory.

UIndy threatened the Rangers, pulling with a point with 11:23 left but UWP answered with a 7-1 run to increase the buffer to seven. The Ranger lead swelled to 10 points with 5:21 left off a pair of Gaby Bronson free throws and the visitors maintained a double-digit advantage the rest of the way.

Endisch didn't make a single trip to the free throw line, leading all scorers with a hard earned 31 points. The senior guard hit nine of her 15 attempts from beyond the arc while finishing 11-for-18 from the floor. Bronson came off the bench and tallied 15 points and three blocks while Sierra West led the Rangers with 10 assists while also adding five points. Danielle Slivka and Tara Knapstein led the squad on the glass, each grabbing seven rebounds.

The Greyhounds had three players in double figures, led by an 18-point effort from Kristin Turner. McIntosh collected 16 points with Carly Lythjohan contributing 10.

The Rangers outrebounded the hosts by a 35-25 margin, grabbing 14 on the offensive end while UWP reserves owned an 18-4 scoring edge.

UW-Parkside shot 45.5 percent (25-for-55) for the game, including 52.6 percent (10-for-19) from distance. The Greyhounds finished the contest shooting 53.2 percent (25-for-47) from the field.

UWP, winners of five straight and nine of the last 10, remain one game back from East Division leader Lewis University as the Flyers downed Saint Joseph's College 73-62. Kentucky Wesleyan College can join Lewis at the top of the standings if they beat Bellarmine today, a game that will begin at 4:15 p.m. in Owensboro, Ky.

The Rangers close out the regular season on Thursday, making the short trek to Romeoville, Ill. to face Lewis University. Tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m.
