QUINCY, Ill. (Nov. 17, 2013)-- Despite owning a 14-5 edge in shots, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's soccer team was unable to find the back of the net, falling 1-0 to eighth-ranked Quincy University in the second round of the NCAA Division II Tournament on Sunday at Legends Stadium.
Host and second-seeded Quincy (18-0-4) tallied the contest's lone goal in the 71st minute off a corner kick. Jaclyn Mastroianni served the ball into the box with Kristine Vogt heading the ball to Haylye Markway, who finish the play off with a header into the back of the Rangers' net.
The two squads were scoreless at the half despite the visiting and third-seeded Rangers (14-5-3) owning an 8-1 edge in shots, including all three on frame. UW-Parkside ended the contest with a 14-5 edge in shots including four of the six shots on target.
Of the Rangers' 14 shots, three came off the boot of

Katie Gavin each collected a pair of strikes.
Goalkeeper
Mallory Geurts tallied one save in 90 minutes of work while the Hawks' Jodi Chapie notched four saves.
The loss capped off a stellar 2013 campaign for the Green and White. The Rangers tallied their 15th consecutive winning campaign, posting 11 shutouts while advancing past the opening round of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season and the fifth time over the past six seasons.
