The University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's soccer team fell for this first time this year in a 2-1 decision at 6
th-ranked Quincy on Friday afternoon. The Hawks scored two first half goals and never looked back in moving to 3-0 in conference play and 5-0 overall. The Rangers dropped to 2-1 with the loss.
Neither team was able to get many good chances throughout the match as each team got just three shots on goal. The numbers also flipped drastically after the break after Quincy went into the locker room with a 6-1 advantage in shots. The Rangers came out and controlled the second half with an 8-1 advantage but couldn't get a ball in the net until the final minutes.

Unfortunately for the Rangers the next Quincy shot also found the net and put Parkside in a hole. Jaclyn Mastroianni scored on a pass from Aimee Ubriaco and gave the Hawks a 2-0 lead to take to halftime.
Parkside was able to get things going in the second half and put pressure on Quincy but couldn't break through. The Rangers had four shots and three corner kick opportunities all within the first ten minutes of the second half.
Kristen Benson's header off a
Shannon Becker corner kick nearly cut the deficit in half but a Quincy defender came in late to knock the ball away.
The Rangers were able to get on the board with 0:36 left when
Natalie Brown headed one home to make it 2-1.
Brynn Darga was credited with the assist but unfortunately Parkside ran out of time and the comeback attempt came up short.
