Rangers and Lakers Meet Again

The Rangers and Lakers meet for the fifth time in NCAA Tournament play
Each time the UW-Parkside women's soccer team has earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament ... the Grand Valley State Lakers have been standing in their way. So it seems appropriate the two teams will match up again Sunday at noon in Allendale, Mich.

The two programs have split their four previous NCAA meetings with the Lakers ending Parkside's season last November in the round of 16. The Rangers are the last team to knock off the two-time defending national champions in NCAA Tournament play. Parkside claimed a 1-0 victory on the Grand Valley State University soccer field in 2008 to advance to the "Elite Eight."

The Lakers are ranked #1 in the country and have allowed just five goals all season. Grand Valley has not allowed a goal since September 30.

The only common opponent this season is Indianapolis. Both the Rangers and Lakers defeated the Greyhounds 2-1 earlier this year.

Once again there are a couple of ways to follow Sunday's match. There is a link for LIVE STATS below as well as the ability to WATCH LIVE VIDEO.

Kick-off is set for 12:00 p.m. The winner of Sunday's match will advance to the Sweet 16 to take on the winner of Northern Kentucky and Bellarmine.
