A trio of UW-Parkside women's basketball players have earned all-league honors from the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Brittany Beyer (New London, Wis./New London) and Brittany Hogen (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) picked up second team awards, while Amanda Gibson (Boulder Junction, Wis./Boulder Junction) earned a third-team honor.
Players are nominated by their coach and voted on by the head coaches of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Beyer, a 5-10 sophomore forward, leads the Rangers in scoring with a 15.9 points per game average, which ranks sixth in the league. Her high game saw her score 30 points at Olivet Nazarene. Beyer averaged 5.5 rebounds per contest. She has dished out 56 assists and recorded 21 steals.
Hogen had a monster double-double with 28 points and 21 rebounds in a game versus Robert Morris. She averages 14.9 points per game to go with her league-leading 9.0 rebounds per contest. The 6-0 junior center has 47 assists to her credit along with 15 blocked shots.
Gibson, a senior guard, ranks fifth on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,277 career points. She averages 12.1 points per game this season and has a team-leading 91 assists. Her .904 free throw percentage ranks fifth in the nation.
