Indianapolis exploded to a 15-point lead in the first half, only to have the UW-Parkside men's basketball team come back and take a brief lead. The Greyhounds shook off the Ranger charge and logged a 75-66 win in the DeSimone Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.
With 10 minutes left in the game, Parkside grabbed its first lead of the afternoon at 53-52. It didn't last long as the Greyhounds recaptured the lead for good. The knockout blow was a two-hand slam by Dijon Knight with 1:41 to go which gave the Greyhounds a 67-62 lead.
Indy jumped to 11-10 overall and 5-7 in league play. Parkside is 8-14 overall and 3-10 in conference action.
Darius Adams of Indy led all scorers with 31 points.
Grant Johnson headed UWP with 29 points.
