Last season, the UW-Parkside women's soccer team defeated Northern Kentucky in the regular season and in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship match. Then, the two teams met in the NCAA tournament, which also went the Rangers' way.
The Norse got a small measure of revenge in Highland Heights Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 verdict over the Rangers.
Kendall Day logged both of Northern Kentucky's goals. The first goal came off of a rebound at 22:59. The second was notched on a loose ball from close range at 74:08.
Parkside had the edge in both shots and shots on goal in the contest. The Rangers attempted 14 shots, six of which found their way on goal. The Norse attempted 10 shots, with four on goal.
Northern Kentucky is now 7-2 overall and 4-2 in the GLVC.
Parkside, ranked No. 20 in the nation, is 5-2-2 overall and 4-2-1 in league play.

With the conference season exactly half-way over, the Rangers look to return to their winning ways, starting Friday, Oct. 2. Indianapolis will pay a visit to UW-Parkside's Wood Road Field for a 1:15 p.m. match.
