Concordia St. Paul Upper Iowa
The UW-Parkside men's basketball team hit the road for the first time this season with non-conference games at Upper Iowa Monday night after playing at Concordia St. Paul on Saturday. The team dropped both games with details below and box scores above.
At Upper Iowa
The Rangers scored only two points in the final 10 minutes of the first half which could not be overcome in a 74-54 loss at Upper Iowa.
Zach Blesich knocked down a three-point shot with 10:08 to go in the first half pulling the Rangers to within 17-14. From there, the Peacocks went on a 13-2 run to close the half.
Upper Iowa out-rebounded the Rangers 26-13 in the first half while limiting their guests to just 21 percent shooting from the floor.
Ranger
Jeremy Saffold had the best game of his brief career. The freshman tallied a game-high 25 points to go with nine rebounds and a pair of steals. He threw down an electrifying dunk in the second half.
Belsich added 11 points to the Ranger cause.
The Peacocks had 12 different players get into the scoring column, which is more healthy bodies than the Rangers suited.
At Concordia St. Paul
The Rangers grabbed a seven point lead early in a game at Concordia St. Paul Saturday night. The visitors gave the host Golden Bears all they could handle for nearly 15 minutes of the game; however, a bigger, deeper, more experienced CSP squad took control and won going away, 84-59.

The Golden Bears led, 40-23 at half. They shot an even 50 percent from the floor for the game and out-rebounded the Rangers, 44-32.
Parkside made good 32 percent of its shots.
Concordia St. Paul had four players in double digits led by Matt Hackl, who came off the bench to drain five three-point shots in six attempts for 15 points. The Golden Bears knocked down 13 three's in the contest.

Grant Johnson who came up with 13 points. Blesich logged eight points in the first 5 minutes and ended with 10 points. Both he and fellow starter
Dwayne Edwards fouled out of the game.
