Visiting Indianapolis broke free from a 20-20 tie and never looked back in an 89-71 victory over the UW-Parkside men's basketball team.
Indy went on a 16-1 run to grab a 36-21 lead. The Rangers forged closer and drew to within six at halftime, 42-36.
LaVontay Fenderson had 27 points for the Rangers. Teammate DaMarcus Bell added 26.
UW-Parkside fell to 6-13 overall and 2-8 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Indianapolis is now 7-13 overall and 2-9 in league play.
Indianapolis shot 55 percent for the game, while the Rangers shot 43. Indy out-rebounded the Rangers, 33-22.
Next up for the Rangers is a match with Northern Kentucky Saturday, Jan. 31, at 3 p.m. The league game will be played in the DeSimone Gymnasium.
