Dave Keane came off the bench to give UW-Parkside 23 points. Starters LaVontay Fenderson and Tyrone Deacon chipped in 19 and 12 points respectively in leading the Rangers to a 92-68 win over visiting Quincy University in the DeSimone Gymnasium Thursday night. Brad Ferstenou joined the trio in double digits with 10 points.

The Rangers set the tone from the very beginning. The team tallied 16 of the first 18 points and never looked back. UW-Parkside held a double digit lead throughout, and led, 53-35, at halftime.

The lead swelled to 27 points at its largest margin. This happened three different times.

UW-Parkside was on fire from the floor. The team shot a dazzling 58 percent from the floor including a 66 percent effort in the first half.

Quincy, the top scoring team in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, was limited to just 40 percent shooting.

Andre Muse was Quincy's top point-getter with 17 points.

The Rangers out-rebouded the Hawks, 37-31.

UW-Parkside jumped to 13-7 overall and 6-6 in the GLVC. The squad is currently ranked No. 9 in the Great Lakes Region. Quincy dropped to 9-11 overall and 3-9 in league action.

The Rangers will host SIU Edwardsville in its next game. The contest will take place in the DeSimone Gymnasium Saturday, Feb. 9, at 3 p.m. It will be the last appearance by SIU Edwardsville as an NCAA Division II school. The Cougars move to NCAA Division I last year.
