Juliana Tirabassi joined Parkside Athletics as the Volleyball Graduate Assistant Coach on Aug. 1, 2020.
Growing up in Kenosha, Wis., Tirabassi attended Tremper High School, graduating in 2016. Following high school, she continued her playing career at Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla. While at Barry, she was a part of the 2018 SSC Champion Buccaneers. The Buccaneers finished the 2018 season with a Top-32 finish in the NCAA Division II National Championships, and then later a Sweet 16 finish in 2019. During Tirabassi’s four years with the team, Barry earned the AVCA Academic Team Award every year. Tirabassi graduated from Barry University in the spring of 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
Before joining the Parkside Volleyball staff, Tirabassi coached at multiple levels for over three years. Currently, she also serves as a Director and Lead Trainer at the Wisconsin Juniors Volleyball Club.
Being a native of Kenosha, Wis., Tirabassi’s family has a history with the Rangers. Her older sister, Tricia (Tirabassi) Roberts, was a member of the 2012 Parkside Volleyball team. Her aunt, Tanya (Bertog) McGonegle was a Ranger softball player from 1992-95. While at Parkside, McGonegle was named to the Central Region All-Region Team, as well as an Academic All-American.
