Robert Boardman was named Assistant Track & Field / Cross Country Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in July 2025. In his role, Boardman will coach the Rangers’ sprinters and jumpers, bringing valuable experience in the jumping events and combined events to the program.
Boardman joins Parkside following a successful six-year stint with the Franklin Pierce University track & field program, where he served as an assistant coach. At Franklin Pierce, his primary responsibilities included coaching jumpers as well as multi-event athletes in the heptathlon and decathlon. Under his guidance, several athletes developed into conference contenders and program record-holders.
A 2019 graduate of Franklin Pierce and a former team captain, Boardman had a standout collegiate career as a jumper. He finished ranked among the program’s top 10 all-time in both indoor and outdoor high jump and triple jump, and served as the team’s representative to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Boardman holds Level 1 and Level 2 specialist certifications in the jumping events from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), reflecting his technical knowledge and commitment to professional development.
Originally from St. Johnsbury, Vermont, Boardman now brings his experience, leadership, and technical expertise to Parkside, where he will play a key role in the continued growth and competitiveness of the Rangers' track & field and cross country programs
