Katie Weldy joined the Parkside Track and Field/Cross Country program in August of 2024. Weldy, a Brownsburg, Ind. native, joins Parkside after completing her undergraduate degree at Hillsdale College. While at Hillsdale she was a Division II National Qualifier for both the weight throw and hammer throw. She also received conference recognition as she was named All-GMAC in the 2024 outdoor season.
Weldy started her coaching career as a coaching intern while at Hillsdale. She spent the summers working for Athlead Indy Track and Field as an Assistant Throws Coach. While at Athlead Indy she helped coach 16 USATF Youth National Qualifiers and a USATF All-American.Â
