Lorenzo Tanner was named Strength and Conditioning Coach for the ParksideĀ basketball programs in August 2025.
Tanner most recently served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Lake Forest Academy, where he led training programs for menās and womenās basketball while designing customized plans to enhance athletic performance and reduce injury risk. He also spent time as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Chadron State College, where he worked closely with menās and womenās basketball and football, while also supporting cheer, volleyball, and track and field. His work included offseason training programs, sport-specific development, and advanced performance monitoring.
In addition, Tanner gained valuable experience as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at the University of Colorado Boulder, contributing to training programs for the Buffaloesā football team. There, he collaborated with a Power Five strength staff on program design, recovery strategies, and cutting-edge athlete tracking systems.
A former collegiate football player, Tanner competed at both Black Hills State and Fort Lewis College. At Fort Lewis, he was a standout defensive lineman, recording 71 tackles, eight sacks, and two forced fumbles. He earned his bachelorās degree in Exercise Science from Fort Lewis in 2021 and is currently pursuing his masterās degree at Chadron State.
